MAGHAZI: The Israeli military says it has hit 150 targets in the last day as it continues to bomb areas of Maghazi and Khan Younis. During this time, it said its troops uncovered 15 tunnels and discovered extensive weaponry, including rocket launchers, missiles, drones, and explosives, Al Jazeera reports.

The latest overnight Israeli attacks in central and southern Gaza reportedly killed numerous Palestinian civilians, including 15 people, mostly women and children, belonging to the same family in Rafah, and six people sheltering in refugee camps in central Gaza.

Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip have affected arms aid by Western countries to Ukraine and perceptions on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, said Ukraine’s Ambassador to Türkiye Vasyl Bodnar, Anadolu Agency reports.

“International media has turned its attention to this direction, so there are those who think that the war in Ukraine has ended,” Bodnar said.

Bodnar met with Turkish journalists at the Ukrainian Embassy in the capital Ankara to made evaluations on the Russia-Ukraine war, Israel’s attacks on Gaza, the Black Sea grain deal, defense cooperation with Türkiye, and prisoner exchange.

The ambassador said the weapons planned to be given to Ukraine were sent to Israel, and the internal political dynamics in Western countries are a factor affecting aid.

Israel’s Health Ministry has ordered hospitals in the north of the country to prepare for the possibility of receiving “thousands of injured” people as tensions with the Lebanon’s Hezbollah group increase, TRT World reports, citing Israeli public broadcaster KAN.

KAN said the ministry has asked medical centres in the north to prepare for the possibility of going into “deserted island mode,” that is being left without medical supplies, medicine and food for days.
