LOS ANGELES – Music producer Benny Blanco has shared fresh insights into his relationship with Selena Gomez, confirming that while the couple is engaged, they are in no rush to tie the knot and plan to begin discussing wedding details later this summer.

Speaking on the Therapuss podcast with Jake Shane, Blanco revealed that both he and Selena have been busy with work and are currently enjoying some well-earned downtime together.

“I’ve been working so much. I really want to take a little break,” Blanco said. “Not usually, but with Selena, I can do it all day — just lie in bed, eat food, and watch shows.”

No Fixed Date Yet

Although the couple got engaged in December 2024, Blanco said they’ve yet to set a wedding date. However, he hinted that serious planning will begin this summer.

“I think this summer we’re going to sit down and be like, ‘Okay, what are we doing?’” he shared.

A Wedding True to Them

Blanco and Gomez are reportedly leaning towards a relaxed and personal celebration, with fun twists and emotional touches. Blanco previously mentioned on another podcast that his only fixed wish is to have Jewish chef Jake Cohen bake challah for the ceremony. The couple has also joked about a “corn-themed” wedding, reflecting their mutual love for comfort food.

Selena is said to be constantly coming up with new ideas for the big day. One possibility being considered is replacing the traditional first dance with a special moment between Selena and her grandfather—something Blanco described as “sweet and meaningful.”

Cherishing the Moment

Despite the growing curiosity from fans and media, the couple is focused on enjoying their engagement and the current chapter of their relationship. Their public statements have painted a picture of genuine affection, mutual respect, and a desire to make the wedding authentic and heartfelt.
