ISLAMABAD – Chief of Staff of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF), Lieutenant General Wang Gang, has praised the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) for its exemplary performance during the recent military conflict with India, calling it a “textbook example” of professional air warfare.
During his visit to the Air Headquarters in Islamabad, Gen. Wang met with Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu and expressed admiration for the PAF’s operational precision, readiness, and strategic response under pressure.
According to officials, Gen. Wang highlighted the PAF’s disciplined and coordinated actions during the high-stakes engagement, which demonstrated modern airpower capabilities and strategic clarity. He further acknowledged the PAF’s effective use of multi-domain operations and praised its role in safeguarding national sovereignty.
Air Chief Marshal Sidhu welcomed the Chinese delegation and reaffirmed the deep-rooted defense partnership between Pakistan and China. He briefed the visiting delegation on the PAF’s modernization strategy, technological upgrades, and future goals in air warfare and regional security cooperation.
Both sides emphasized the importance of continued collaboration, with discussions also touching upon joint training exercises, technology transfers, and strategic coordination in evolving regional scenarios.
The visit marks another chapter in the long-standing military cooperation between Pakistan and China, particularly in the areas of air defense and advanced aerospace collaboration.
