RAWALPINDI – Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has accused India of orchestrating a campaign of state-sponsored terrorism aimed at destabilising Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Proxy Networks and Cross-Border Operations
Addressing a press briefing, Lt Gen Chaudhry stated that Indian intelligence agencies are funding and directing terrorist groups operating within Pakistan. He specifically named outfits like Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitan al-Khawarij, alleging that these proxies are tasked with targeting civilians, security personnel, and infrastructure under Indian military guidance.
Evidence and Arrests
The DG ISPR revealed that several operatives had been arrested in recent months carrying explosives, money, and communication devices. Forensic analysis, he claimed, confirmed contact between these suspects and Indian army officers, including individuals identified as Subedar Sukhwinder and Major Sandeep Verma, allegedly involved in directing attacks within Pakistan.
Information Warfare and Psychological Tactics
He also pointed to a coordinated Indian media campaign designed to glorify attacks on Pakistani soil and spread disinformation to create panic. The aim, he said, is to sow division among communities and weaken national resolve.
Focus on Balochistan and Civilian Targets
Lt Gen Chaudhry detailed recent attacks on soft targets, including the killing of schoolchildren in Khuzdar, civilians in Nushki, and worshippers in mosques—highlighting them as part of India’s broader effort to disrupt peace and economic progress in Balochistan. He alleged that such violence is aimed at derailing key projects like Gwadar and Rekodiq.
Pakistan’s Response and Call for Accountability
According to the military spokesperson, over 200 terrorists have been eliminated in Balochistan so far in 2025. He praised the resilience of the Pakistani public and assured continued operations to dismantle terrorist networks and counter foreign-sponsored destabilisation.
Lt Gen Chaudhry urged the international community to take notice of India’s actions and warned that continued silence would embolden further cross-border interference. He reaffirmed that Pakistan would respond firmly and decisively to all threats to its sovereignty.
