KARACHI – Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited (HACP) has announced a significant price hike across its lineup of locally assembled vehicles, with increases ranging between Rs47,000 and Rs201,000. The revised prices took effect from July 1, 2025.

The adjustment follows fiscal policy changes introduced in the federal budget for 2025–26 and reflects rising operational costs faced by the local auto industry.

Industry-Wide Response to Budgetary Changes

Honda’s price revision comes in the wake of increased levies introduced in the Finance Act 2025–26, particularly the new Energy Vehicle Levy, and follows similar moves by other auto manufacturers including Pak Suzuki, Hyundai Nishat, Changan, and Kia Lucky Motors.

Automakers across Pakistan have been under pressure due to currency depreciation, high import duties, and increased freight charges. Previously, manufacturers absorbed some of these costs; however, recent fiscal measures have left little room to maintain existing prices.

Implications for Consumers

Industry analysts warn that further hikes are possible if economic pressures persist. Consumers are advised to confirm delivery timelines and final invoicing details with authorized dealerships, especially those seeking to purchase vehicles under current rates.
