ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is set to showcase its latest and most advanced fighter aircraft, the JF-17 Thunder Block III, at the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2025 in the United Kingdom. The event, which will run from July 18 to 20 at RAF Fairford, is considered one of the world’s most prestigious military airshows.

Two JF-17C Block III jets from PAF’s No. 8 Squadron “Haiders” have already landed in the UK to represent Pakistan in both static and aerial displays. One of the aircraft features a special paint scheme to mark its debut appearance in the country.

Along with the fighter jets, Pakistan is also presenting its C-130 Hercules transport aircraft and the IL-78 aerial refueling tanker, reflecting the force’s operational strength and logistical capability.

The JF-17 Thunder Block III, jointly developed by Pakistan and China, is equipped with modern avionics, an AESA radar system, and improved combat features, making it a strong contender in the global fighter jet market.

The participation not only highlights PAF’s professionalism and progress in aerospace technology but also promotes Pakistan’s defense industry on an international platform.
