Why India is afraid over Amy Chief tenure extension matter: Chaudhry Shujaat

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has asked why India is afraid over Amy Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s service tenure extension matter.

Talking to newsmen at his residence on Wednesday, he said the Pakistani nation and whole world appreciated the role of the army chief in the war on terrorism, and added that the Pakistan Muslim League and whole nation supports Imran Khan’s decision to extend the service tenure of the army chief.

To a question about the army and the judiciary being targeted, Ch Shujaat Hussain said that appointment of the commander of the army was done under a system and its legal aspects are under discussion in the Supreme Court of Pakistan but whole nation is worried that the Indian media keeping this issue in front as usual is making Government of Pakistan, army and judiciary target of its criticism, this is our internal matter and with this neither India nor any other country has anything to do. He said that our entire nation is with the Armed Forces of Pakistan and appreciates and duly acknowledges their services who offered sacrifices of their lives in difficult circumstances to restore normal activities in Pakistan and made the defence of Pakistan strong. Ch Shujaat Hussain further said that that India should remember if it does wrong estimates against Pakistan then it would suffer very deep and irreparable loss, armed forces of Pakistan are fully capable of defending the country, General Qamar Javed Bajwa with his leadership qualities has not only foiled all conspiracies against Pakistan but also given new courage and spirit to Kashmiri nation that days of their freedom are very near.

He said that General Qamar Javed Bajwa along with the nation eliminated terrorist activities throughout the country thus creating a sense of security among the people and at the international level Pakistan’s this role was appreciated and acknowledged that Pakistan is playing prominent role for peace and security throughout the world.
