Veena Malik sues ex-husband over false allegations
LAHORE: Pakistani actress Veena Malik has filed a defamation suit against ex-husband Asad Khattak in Lahore Session Court for leveling false allegations against her on social networking sites (SNS).
As per details, Veena submitted suit against Asad Khattak under Defamation Ordinance 2002 with a stance that the false allegations has damaged her reputation, goodwill and business opportunities and caused psychological torture.
She pleaded the court to order Khattak to pay Rs1 billion as compensation amount.
According to defamation suit, Veena sought Rs. 500 million as loss of reputation, Rs. 400 million as loss of business opportunities, Rs. 80 million as loss of contracts and Rs. 20 million compensatory damages for mental torture from her ex-husband.
