US, South Korea vow to make Korean peninsula free of nuclear weapons

SEOUL: United States and South Korea have reaffirmed their commitment to make the Korean peninsula free of nuclear weapons.

The commitment was made during a telephonic conversation between US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and South Korea’s foreign minister, Chung Eui-yong.

They also expressed concern over the military coup in Myanmar.
