US House impeaches Trump for 'incitement of insurrection'
WASHINGTON: The US House of Representatives has passed a resolution with 232 to 197 votes for impeachment of President Donald Trump charging him for inciting last week's attack on Capitol Hill.
Impeachment in the House of Representative will be followed by trial in the Senate.
Donald Trump is the only US President to be impeached twice as he was also impeached by the House in December 2019, but was acquitted in the subsequent trial in the Senate.
