UNSC extends UN peacekeepers’ mandate on Golan Heights for 6 months
NEW YORK: The United Nations Security Council has adopted a resolution to extend the mandate of the UN peacekeeping force on the Golan Heights for six months, till June 30, next year.
The Council urged both Israel and Syria to fully respect the terms of the 1974 ceasefire, and exercise maximum restraint and prevent any breaches of the ceasefire.
