Uganda: Yoweri Museveni wins Presidential election for sixth consecutive term

KAMPALA: In Uganda, President Yoweri Museveni has won the Presidential election for sixth consecutive time.

In a statement, the Election Commission said that Museveni won 60.8 percent of the vote, while his main challenger Kizza Besigye secured 35.4 percent votes.

The 76-year-old Museveni is in power since 1986 and one of Africa's longest-serving leaders.
