TEXAS: George Floyd's last rites were performed in the United States. Attended by thousands of people, including dignitaries. George Floyd was buried in a cemetery near his hometown in Texas.

On this occasion, the city of Houston was almost transformed into a place of pilgrimage. Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden also met with Floyd's family on the occasion.

George Floyd, an African-American, was buried in a cemetery near his hometown in Texas. He was the sole breadwinner of his family.

George Floyd's coffin was brought to the cemetery on a white horse-drawn carriage in a thrilling manner under heavy police guard.

Earlier, 500 people attended a highly emotional condolence ceremony at a church in Houston, including George Floyd's relatives, friends, politicians and many celebrities.

Most of the mourners were dressed in white, and Pastor Remus Wright paid tribute to George Floyd at the prayer service.

It is to be noted that the black George Floyd was killed by the police in custody in Minneapolis, on which a series of protests are going on in the United Kingdom and Europe besides  the United States.

The statue of Robert Milligan, a slave trader in London, was also removed. London Mayor Sadiq Khan set up a commission to remove the statues associated with the slave trade and rename the streets. Thousands also marched against police violence in Mexico and Demanded an end to racial discrimination.
