South Korea, China agree on early Xi visit, North Korea talks

SEOUL: South Korea and China have agreed for a visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Seoul to cooperate on stalled talks on North Korea’s nuclear programme and on tackling the novel coronavirus.

The decision was made during talks of Chinese top diplomat Wang Yi with South Korea’s Foreign Minister, Kang Kyung-wha in Seoul.

Wang said his visit was to highlight the importance of efforts by the strategic partners to work together and promote peace and stability.
