Pakistan’s classical singer Bilqees Khanum passed away after prolonged illness in Karachi on Wednesday.
The departed soul was best known for her work in movies Mela Sajna Di and Nai Zindagi: Naya Jeevan.
Her famous songs include, Mat Samjho Humne Bhula Diya and Kuch Din To Baso Meri Aankhon Mein.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of famous singer Bilqis Khanum.
In a message of condolence, the Prime Minister said Bilqis Khanum achieved unique position in the art of singing and her death has left a void in the field of music.
He said Balqis Khanum's services to music will always be remembered.
