Punjab wants to open restaurants

LAHORE:  On the direction of Punjab Chief Minister, it has been decided  in the Corona Cabinet Committee meeting to allow the opening of restaurants.

The Punjab government has recommended the federal government to open restaurants. The recommendation will be submitted to the National Coordinating Committee meeting for final approval.

It was decided in the meeting that the working hours of markets and shopping malls in Punjab province would be from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Markets, bazaars and shopping malls in Punjab will be allowed to operate four days a week. Markets, shopping malls and bazaars will be closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The meeting decided to approach the federation for permissionto open hotels in Murree and Galyat. The federal government will be recommended to open recreational areas for tourists.

Law Minister Raja Basharat, Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan and Commerce Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal attended the meeting. Health department officials briefed the meeting about Corona while administrative agencies presented a report on the implementation of SOPs.
