ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan Friday sought permission for a public meeting on August 13 in the federal capital. He noted that they had submitted a request to the Islamabad administration for the proposed public meeting and before that also for a protest on August 5.
He maintained that the symbolic hunger strike camp outside the Parliament House would continue till the release of PTI founder Imran Khan and other jailed party people. Gohar sounded optimistic that the party founder would come out of jail very soon.
A formal request was given to the district administration of Islamabad by PTI district president Aamir Masood Mughal to hold a meeting and protest. The position adopted in the petition was that the PTI should be allowed to hold a rally on August 13 on court orders, and the party should be allowed to hold a rally at Tarnol, F-9 Park or G-9 Peshawar Mor.
In the text of the request, it was mentioned that the PTI wanted to hold a rally on August 13 at four o’clock in the evening outside the Islamabad Press Club.
