President for raising awareness about breast cancer
President Dr Arif Alvi has underlined the need for raising awareness among women about the breast cancer and treatment to save precious lives.
Chairing a meeting through video link from Karachi, he regretted that due to lack of education and awareness, the breast cancer mortality rate in Pakistan is almost 50 per cent which is quite alarming.
The President also highlighted that women of the country are facing multiple health problems that need to be addressed on priority basis.
The meeting suggested various proposals to improve the healthcare system to cater the needs of country.
