Palestinian Rashida Tlaib censured by US House of Representatives

WASHINGTON: Rashida Tlaib, Congress’s lone Palestinian American lawmaker, has been censured by the US House of Representatives over her comments on Israel's invasion of Gaza, Al Jazeera reported.

The chamber, which is controlled by the Republicans, voted in favour of censuring Tlaib. Four of them voted against while three Democrats and one Republican abstained.

The lawmaker has repeatedly condemned Israel's bombardment of Gaza which has martyred over 10,000 Palestinians which also includes more than 4,000 children.

Meanwhile Israel resumed bombarding the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, leaving several people martyred and injured, Wafa news agency reported.

The forces attacked the Wahba family's residence, said the sources, adding that some people were still trapped under the rubble .The injured and killed have been taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.
