KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Exchange above the 98,000 mark on Friday as share prices surged more than 2,000 points in intraday trade
ISLAMABAD: Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has reassured its support to Pakistan in its fight against terrorism.
The assurance was given by OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousaf bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen during a video-link meeting of the Board of Trustees of International Islamic University Islamabad, chaired by President Dr. Arif Alvi at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
The OIC secretary general offered condolences over the loss of lives in the terrorist attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange in Karachi.
He thanked the Government of Pakistan for offering 100 scholarships to the students of 15 under-developed countries.
The meeting unanimously approved Dr. Hathal bin Hamoud Al-Otaibi as the IIUI president, earlier serving at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
President Dr. Arif Alvi while terming the IIUI a great center of learning, said the institution is providing students a balance of contemporary education along with the knowledge about Sharia, Islamic history and culture.
