No conspiracy can derail CPEC project, Senate informed

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz has categorically said that no conspiracy can derail China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project.

Responding to a Calling Attention Notice raised by Mian Raza Rabbani about the China Pakistan Economic Corridor Authority Ordinance, 2019, the Minister said CPEC is a project between people of both the countries.

He briefed the House that work is being carried out vigorously on projects under the CPEC umbrella as it is symbol of friendship between Pakistan and China that would further strengthen Pak-China relations.

The Minister said all the projects of CPEC are successfully advancing towards completion.

During the Question Hour, the Minister for Federal Education Shafqat Mahmood told the House that process has been started to introduce a uniform syllabus in the country to remove the existing disparity in the education system.

He said that it is our desire to implement the single national curriculum in phases from April next year.

Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ail Muhammad Khan informed the House that eradication of polio in Pakistan has been declared as a national public health emergency.

The House also discussed the recent Peshawar Madrassa blast.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibili Faraz said our people and armed forces valiantly fought the war against terrorism.

He said we need to promote unity amongst our ranks to defeat the conspiracies being hatched by our enemies.

Senator Siraj ul Haq said the terrorists of the Peshawar Madrassa blast should be taken to the logical end at the earliest.

The House has now been prorogued.
