Next general election to be held through EVMs: Gill

GUJRANWALA: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gill says the next general election will be held through Electronic Voting Machines.

Addressing the Overseas Convention in Gujranwala, he said it has also been decided to hold the local bodies elections in Punjab through the EVMs.

Shahbaz Gill said the use of Electronic Voting Machines is compulsory for free, fair and transparent election in the country.

He said overseas Pakistanis will also have the right to vote in the next general election, as they are a valuable asset and contributing to the development of the country through foreign remittances.
