Myanmar's UN ambassador appeals to world body for action to stop coup

NEW YORK: Myanmar Ambassador to the United Nations Kyaw Moe Tun has appealed to the world body to provide safety and security to people of Myanmar.

Speaking at the Un General Assembly, he said we need further strongest possible action from the international community to immediately end the military coup.

Kyaw Moe Tun also urged the international community to take all stronger possible measures to stop oppressing the innocent people, return the state power to the people and restore democracy.
