Minorities enjoy religious freedom in country: President

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi says minorities in Pakistan enjoy equal religious freedom and equal rights.

Addressing a conference titled "international conference on religious freedom and minorities’ rights" at President House today (Saturday), the president said the government is committed to ensure all steps in this regard.

The President said the constitution of the land and religion Islam's teachings have guaranteed the religious rights to all minorities. While appreciating the role of Ministry of Religious affairs ministry, he said it is the duty of all to ensure these principles of equity and inter-faith harmony.
