KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Exchange above the 98,000 mark on Friday as share prices surged more than 2,000 points in intraday trade
ISLAMABAD: Maulana Fazlur Rehman Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief, currently on a visit to Afghanistan, held a one-on-one meeting with Maulvi Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Islamic Emirate, on Wednesday.
The TOLO news, an Afghan news channel and website, while quoting sources, reported that the JUI-F leader met Maulvi Akhundzada in Kandahar on Wednesday morning.
“The meeting was held only between Maulana Fazlur Rehman and the leader of the Islamic Emirate,” it reported.
A spokesman for the JUI-F, however, did not confirm the meeting. “We have no information about the meeting for the time being,” he said.
TOLOnews also said Afghan officials had not yet commented on the meeting.
He had met the prime minister of Afghanistan, deputy prime minister, foreign minister and other Afghan leaders following his arrival in Kabul on Sunday. Rehman, as the head of a delegation comprising his party leaders, is on a mission to mend deteriorated relations between Pakistan Afghanistan.
