PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved establishment of Kalash Valley Development Authority to preserve the ancient culture of Kalash in Chitral.
This was announced by Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Minority Affairs Wazirzada while signing a MoU with the Pakistan Council of World Religions.
The authority will ensure no construction of unapproved building should take place residential areas of the valley and all development schemes by the government for the ancient tribe do not damage the culture.
Speaking on the occasion, Wazirzada lauded the locals of Kalash for adhering to their rich culture that will now be preserved by the government.
