KP CM directs to ensure completion of Swat Motorway Phase-1 by end of August

PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has directed the concerned authorities to finalize the arrangements for formal ground-breaking of City Improvement Project in the province.

Presiding over a meeting in Peshawar, he said the government is going to launch a project to improve municipal infrastructure in five big cities including Peshawar, Kohat, Abbottabad, Mardan and Swat.

The project is being launched with the financial assistance of Asian Development Bank.

Meanwhile, chairing another meeting, the Chief Minister said the Swat Motorway is a vital importance project for entire Malakand region to boost business and tourism activities in the area.

Mahmood Khan directed the relevant authorities to ensure completion of Swat Motorway Phase-1 by the end of next month.

The meeting also reviewed progress on the feasibility study of Peshawar-D.I.Khan Motorway project.
