TEHRAN: Iran has vowed to avenge the assassination of its top nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, who was killed near Tehran on Friday.
According to details, the military advisor of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has vowed to take revenge by striking the perpetrators like thunder.
“We will strike as thunder at the killers of this oppressed martyr and will make them regret their action,” tweeted Hossein Dehghan.
On Friday, Iran’s top nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh-Mahabadi was assassinated in an area east of Tehran.
The professor of physics and high-profile figure of nuclear program was targeted in Absard region of Davamand.
The unknown assailants stopped his vehicle with an explosion laden in a vehicle and later opened fire on it. The scientist succumbed to the bullet wounds. No one has claimed responsibility of the attack.
