International Day of Parliamentarism being observed today
The International Day of Parliamentarism is being observed today (Wednesday) to recognize the significance of parliamentary systems of government in shaping modern societies.
This year's theme for the day is youth empowerment.
In his message on the occasion, Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani said the Pakistan Parliament is taking effective steps to empower the youth and bring them into the national mainstream.
He said the government has also taken steps to involve the youth in politics.
