Indian farmers' unions decide to intensify protest against Modi regime

NEW DELHI: In India, farmers' unions have decided to escalate their protest against Modi regime.

In a statement, the Samyukt Kisan Morcha said that it will send its leaders to poll-bound states to appeal to farmers there to defeat the BJP in assembly elections.

The protesting farmers have also announced to block the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway on Saturday.          

Talking to media, Samyukta Kisan Morcha leader Balbir Singh Rajewal said that a call has been given to farmers camping at three Delhi border points to block the KMP Expressway from 11am to 5pm.

Meanwhile, Swaraj India chief Yogendra Yadav has announced that women protesters will lead the protest on Womens' Day on 8th of this month.
