Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood says incumbent government is pondering over a decision to conduct exams to promote students to next grade.
Talking to a private television channel he said we will have to take hard decisions amid COVID-19 pandemic to save the academic year of all students and the decision of conducting exams for class 10 in being taken.
The minister made it clear that exams will not be postponed or cancelled due to any reason and all the students will have to take part in the examination to enter into the next class.
To a question, he said we are discussing the matter with colleges and universities for protecting the academic year of the students and categorically stated that no one will be promoted sans exams.
