QUETTA: Governor of Balochistan, Amanullah Khan Yasinzai has said that Cadet Colleges play an important role in promoting higher education in the province.
He said this while presiding over the 17th Board of Governors meeting of Balochistan Cadet College in Quetta today.
The Governor stressed for ensuring merit and transparency in recruitment process of teachers.
The meeting was attended by the Provincial Minister of Education, Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind, the Provincial Secretary for Higher Education, Hashim Khan Ghilzai, the Legal Secretary Akbar Harifal, the Additional Secretary, Hamidullah Khan Nasir, the Additional Secretary, Tariq Lasi, the principals of all cadet colleges and the general secretary of Governor Balochistan Shahnawaz. Ali.
The governor appreciates the tireless efforts of the principals of the cadet colleges and their entire team and says that he is welcome to focus on the best learning environment in the cadet colleges, as well as character building and moral improvement of the students.
He said the continued existence of the institutions lies in the preservation of merit and transparency.
Therefore, it is important to adhere to the merits and transparency in the appointment of teachers in cadet colleges, he added.
The Governor also recommends that all possible steps be taken to improve the capacity of the teachers concerned.
Many important decisions were taken as a result of the recommendations and suggestions of the participants in the 17th Council of Governors’ Meeting of Balochistan Cadet Colleges to improve education.
