Germany to provide €13.5 mln to Pakistan for Billion Tree Afforestation Program

Germany has announced that it will provide a grant of thirteen point five million euro to Pakistan for Billion Tree Afforestation Support Program Phase-1.

An agreement to this effect was signed between Ministry of Economic Affairs and KfW Development Bank of Germany in Islamabad today [Friday].

With the funds provided by the German Government, KfW Development Bank will support the efforts of Pakistan to reduce the impacts of climate change by planting 10 Billion Trees.

The project will result in a clean and green environment through reduction in carbon emissions and also bring about socioeconomic benefits to local communities.
