France will sell arms to Egypt irrespective of human rights: Macron
PARIS: France says it will not condition the future sale of arms to Egypt on human rights because it did not want to weaken Cairo’s ability to counter terrorism in the region.
During a joint press conference with President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in Paris today, French President Macron said he will not condition matters of defence and economic cooperation on disagreements over human rights.
