Electoral College confirms Joe Biden's presidential victory
WASHINGTON: In the United States, members of the US Electoral College have affirmed Joe Biden's presidential election victory.
Democratic candidate Joe Biden had won the US election held in November with 306 Electoral College votes as compared to Republican candidate Donald Trump who secured 232 votes.
Voting took place in state capitals and Washington DC.
Under the US system, voters cast their ballots for electors, who in turn, formally vote for candidates after the election.
