ISLAMABAD: The 21st death anniversary of famous Saraiki folk singer, Pathanay Khan was observed on Tuesday.
Pathanay Khan has mostly sung Kafiis based upon the poetry of Baba Bullay Shah, Khawaja Ghulam Fareed, Pir Mehar Ali Shah and many other popular sufi poets.
He was born in Muzaffargarh in 1926 and died in his native town, Kot Addu on this day in 2000.
The government of Pakistan awarded him with Pride of Performance in 1979.
