KARACHI: Fifth death anniversary of eminent television actor and playwright, Kamal Ahmed Rizvi is being observed on Thursday.
Born in Bihar, India in 1930, he migrated to Karachi after the creation of Pakistan in 1947.
He started his career from a stage play 'Julius Caesar' for BBC Urdu Service, but his career`s masterpiece was 'Alif Noon', a television comedy play written by Rizvi himself highlighting corruption in the society through comedy and satire.
Kamal Ahmad Rizvi was awarded Pride of Performance in 1989 for his tremendous contribution in drama writing, acting and direction.
He died this date in Karachi in 2015.
