KARACHI: Pakistan Stock Exchange above the 98,000 mark on Friday as share prices surged more than 2,000 points in intraday trade
National Command and Operation Centre has decided to commence vaccination of 40-49 years age citizens from 3rd of next month.
The decision was made in NCOC meeting held in Islamabad on Thursday with Planning Minister Asad Umar in the chair.
In view of the surge in global virus spread, the forum decided to curtail inbound passenger flights to Pakistan from 5th to 20th of next month. These restrictions will be reviewed on 18th of next month and detailed instructions will be issued by Civil Aviation Authority.
NCOC reviewed production and supply of oxygen and decided to grant import permission of 6000 Metric Tons of oxygen and 5000 oxygen cylinders to ramp up health care facilities in the country. Import permissions of 20 cryogenic tanks were also granted.
It decided to close scrap industry of Misri Shah for diverting oxygen to healthcare sector.
The forum emphasized the need of "Stay Home, Stay Safe" strategy during Eid Holidays. In this regard comprehensive guidelines on closure of markets (with exemptions), ban on inter-city and intra city public transport and tourism have been issued to concerned ministries.
