Coronavirus-free New Zealand first welcomes 2021 with breath-taking fireworks

AUCKLAND: The world is welcoming New Year 2021 after a grinding year of 2020 that has seen at least 1.7 million people to death from Coronavirus pandemic and fresh waves of infection have forced to extend lockdown and restrictions in many countries.

Coronavirus-free New Zealand first welcomed 2021 with breathtaking fireworks that were launched from the Sky Tower in Auckland. 

New year also dawned in Australia with splendid fireworks display went ahead at Sydney harbour, but crowds were not allowed to gather on the city's harbour to enjoy it.
