BEIJING: China says India is totally responsible for the current standoff between the troops of two countries on the Line of Actual Control.
At its weekly news briefing, Chinese Foreign Ministry’s Spokesperson Hua Chunying dismissed Indian accusation that China has violated bilateral agreements and said the Chinese side has been strictly observing the agreements and committed to resolving the border issue through dialogue.
Reiterating China's resolve for safeguarding regional peace at border areas, the spokesperson clarified that like all sovereign states China is determined in safeguarding its territorial integrity.
Chinese and Indian soldiers engaged in the most serious border clashes in June this year leaving over twenty Indian soldiers dead.
