ISLAMABAD: Chairman National Accountability Bureau Justice retired Javed Iqbal called on President Dr Arif Alvi in Islamabad today (Thursday) and presented him annual report of the bureau for previous year.
Briefing the President about performance of the NAB, Justice retired Javed Iqbal said the anti-graft body, last year, recovered various amounts of over 141 billion rupees. He said 747 inquiries and 269 investigations were carried out during the last year. He said success rate of NAB in investigating cases remained 69 percent.
Expressing satisfaction over bureau's performance, the President emphasized on the need to further strengthen NAB to eliminate corruption from the society.
