Calligraphy Exhibition 'Jamaliyaat' concludes at Alhamra, Lahore

LAHORE: The week-long Exhibition titled” Jamaliyaat” ends at Alhamra art gallery, the Mall in Lahore. 

Punjab Secretary Finance Abdullah Sumbal was the chief guest of the last day of exhibition and workshop.

He distributed cash prizes and certificates among winners.

Speaking on this occasion, Punjab Secretary Finance Abdullah Sumbal said that Alhamra is the main platform which playing pivotal role for the promotion of art.

He said the art of calligraphy is a reflection of Islamic traditions and this exhibition is a classic example of Pakistan all five Calligraphy Khat’s. He lauded the efforts of Lahore Arts Council for the promotion of art and culture all over the world.

Executive Director, Lahore Arts Council Saman Rai, praised the artists and termed the art of calligraphy an intellectual legacy of Muslims.
