KARACHI: Mushtaq Ahmed said winning the 1992 World Cup was the highlight of his cricketing career.
Sharing his thoughts in a video, Ahmed said that he was lucky to be a part of that champion squad. “Luckily, I was part of the squad that won the World Cup. People still remember us for that victory and that victory always gives goosebumps’ said Ahmed.
The former cricketer credited the then skipper Imran Khan for leading his team from the front. “Imran Bhai played an important role in that victory. He believed in us and told us that we will win the World Cup. That confidence was out of this world and alhamdulillah we achieved it,” he said.
