ISLAMABAD – President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have once again pledged to move forward with unity and cooperation for the betterment of the country.
In a key meeting held at the Presidency, both leaders discussed the overall political and economic situation, and agreed to strengthen coordination between the government and parliament for important reforms.
They also stressed the importance of consulting coalition partners on national matters, and promised to work closely to tackle ongoing challenges, including those related to the economy, lawmaking, and internal security.
President Zardari expressed full support for the prime minister’s efforts and called for collective decision-making in the larger national interest.
This show of unity between the PPP and PML-N leadership comes at a time when Pakistan is facing serious economic pressures and political uncertainty.
