WASHINGTON / USA: House Democrats have unveiled a set of previously unseen emails from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, alleging that former President Donald Trump was aware of, and potentially involved with, the young women trafficked by Epstein’s network. The disclosures, made public on Wednesday, have sparked renewed scrutiny over Trump’s past connections to the disgraced financier.
The emails, released by the House Oversight Committee, include a 2011 message from Epstein to Ghislaine Maxwell that states:
“I want you to realise that that dog that hasn’t barked is Trump… [victim name redacted] spent hours at my house with him … he has never once been mentioned.”
Another 2019 email from Epstein to author Michael Wolff reportedly said:
“Of course he knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.”
According to Democrats, these communications raise serious questions about Trump’s knowledge of Epstein’s activities and the extent of his interactions with victims. The committee emphasized that the emails are part of a larger push to release all non-classified Epstein-related documents, arguing that transparency is critical for accountability.
The White House swiftly responded, dismissing the claims as politically motivated. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt labelled the release “selectively curated emails” designed to tarnish Trump’s reputation, insisting that no wrongdoing occurred.
The timing of the release is significant, coinciding with the impending swearing-in of Democratic Representative Adelita Grijalva, which is expected to activate a final procedural step to force a House vote on releasing all relevant documents. Supporters of full disclosure argue that the newly surfaced emails may shed light on previously hidden aspects of Epstein’s network and Trump’s connections to it.
As the U.S. grapples with this controversial disclosure, the fallout could reshape political narratives and public perception, highlighting the ongoing tensions between partisan politics and the quest for accountability in one of the most notorious cases of the last two decades.
