ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated his firm resolve to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan, stating that there will be no compromise in securing the nation’s peace and stability.
Addressing a high-level Parliamentary Committee on National Security, the prime minister, joined by COAS Gen. Asim Munir and ISI DG Lt Gen. Nadeem Anjum, emphasized that terrorism would be uprooted through a unified, all-out strategy backed by both civil and military leadership.
He vowed that the National Action Plan and Operation Azm-e-Istehkam will be enforced in full spirit, with all institutions mobilized to counter both internal and external threats. The premier lauded the sacrifices of the security forces and martyrs, calling them the backbone of the country’s fight against extremism.
PM Shehbaz also underscored the need for stronger coordination between provinces, effective legislation, and active public participation to eradicate extremism from its roots.
