LAHORE – The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced domestic contracts for 65 women cricketers for the 2025-26 season, a step aimed at strengthening women’s cricket in the country and providing greater financial security to players.
According to the PCB, the contracts cover athletes across various age groups and regional teams, ensuring opportunities for both emerging talent and established players. The initiative reflects the board’s ongoing efforts to expand the women’s game at the grassroots and domestic levels.
Officials stated that the contracts are designed to support professional growth, improve competitiveness in domestic tournaments, and prepare players for international assignments. Alongside financial benefits, the players will also receive enhanced training, coaching, and fitness support.
The PCB emphasized that the expansion of the women’s domestic structure is in line with its vision to promote gender equality in sports and encourage wider participation of women in cricket nationwide.
