BOSTON, USA – In a moment of pride for Pakistan, internationally renowned public health expert Dr Adnan Hyder has been named the new Dean of Boston University School of Public Health. He will officially assume the role on August 15, 2025.
Dr Hyder, a graduate of Aga Khan University, currently serves as the Senior Associate Dean for Research and Innovation at the Milken Institute School of Public Health, George Washington University. With over two decades of experience in global health, his work spans critical areas including non-communicable diseases, health systems, and digital innovation.
He has also led training and research projects across Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and South Asia, positioning him as a respected voice in international health.
Boston University officials have lauded his dedication to social justice and global equity, expressing confidence in his ability to elevate the institution’s impact on public health policy and education worldwide.
