KARACHI – The Pakistan women’s cricket team kicked off their final preparatory camp on July 29 at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre, gearing up for their three-match T20I series against Ireland, set to begin on August 6 in Dublin.
Led by Fatima Sana, the squad will undergo five days of intensive training under the guidance of head coach Mohammad Wasim, with sessions focused on batting, bowling, and fielding drills, followed by intra-squad practice matches before their departure to Dublin on August 3.
The training camp follows a 27-day conditioning session held earlier this month. Speaking ahead of the tour, captain Fatima Sana said, “The momentum from the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifiers has given us a lot of confidence. We’re working hard to stay sharp in Irish conditions.”
Top-order batter Muneeba Ali added, “We’ve identified areas of improvement, and this camp is helping us polish those aspects before heading into competitive matches.”
The T20Is will be played at the Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in Dublin from August 6 to 10, and are part of the team’s crucial build-up ahead of a packed calendar, including a home series against South Africa and the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025.
