ISLAMABAD: Pakistan to make Remdesivir drug to fight coronavirus under an agreement said Dr. Zafar Mirza, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Health
Preparation of making Remdesivir in Pakistan will start in next few weeks . Addressing a press conference in the federal capital Islamabad today Dr. Zafar Mirza said that the drug would be exported to 127 countries after its manufacture starts in Pakistan. According to the Special Assistant, the Remdesivir will be available in the form of injections and Pakistan will try to make the drug available at a lower cost.
These agreements have been signed between GILEAD and five generic pharmaceutical companies and the medicine manufactured here will be supplied to 127 countries of the world.
